Equatorial Guinea Invests in New Health Services, Opens New Hospital

The Republic of continues to invest resources in health services with the opening the new in Sampaka.

The President of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea, HE Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, officially opened the new 76-bed fully equipped modern health facility, which will become the benchmark for all hospitals in Equatorial Guinea.

The President has prioritized the investment of resources in infrastructure development, and health services, in order to continue the significant strides the country has made over the last two decades.

The hospital will include an intensive care unit, the latest technology for diagnosis, central x-ray systems, laboratories, rehabilitation, a blood bank, and pharmacy.

The new hospital will ease access to quality health care in Equatorial Guinea. The President highlighted the need for a hospital in the Sampaka neighborhood in order to serve the citizens of Equatorial Guinea without them having to travel to Malabo General Hospital further away.
The hospital was built in partnership with the Kingdom of Spain.
